do you think famous people have real myspaces and facebooks?

I too have wondered this. If they do I bet they make up a fake name so they can have some fun like the rest of us.

Yep there are many celebs that have a facebook and myspace. But there are also a lot of fake pages out there as well.

Famous celebrities hire people to manage their Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace accounts.
Usually their agents, personal assistants, or managers do those things for them.

no not really. most of them have just fan sites. they do update & put stuff on it, but it's mostly to notify their fans.
BUT they do use their twitter regularly. i hate twitter, lol. it's only for stalkers or people who like to be stalked.

i highly doubt it…i think they only have fan pages and stuff but they just could maybe be some people pretending to be famous people on their to just people to be their friends (at list that's what i think i could be wrong)

I think I found David Bowie's MySpace page. The main reason why I think it's authentic and not just a fan calling himself "david bowie" is because a lot of the people on his "friends" list are people that David Bowie actually hangs out with in real life. It also says that it's his "official" site, and those who make comments on it are directly complimenting him on his music.

I've noticed that Miyavi is one of the few people that acually updates his myspace HIMSELF.
He'll even post pictures, and he's great with interacting with fans (he doesn't reply to comments obviously… but he's proved that he's read them before)
and it's obvously Miyavi himself, because of how the posts are. He'll do the randomist things…
MOST celebs hire people to manage things like that though, but a lot update personal blogs themselves.
